Rob grew up in the Lawrenceville area of Gwinnett County and graduated from Georgia College & State University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business. After working for a year with a law firm in Buffalo, NY, Rob began law school at Georgia State University College of Law. During his law school career, Rob had the opportunity to participate in the HeLP Clinic where he worked in an effort to secure Social Security Disability benefits for children in need. In 2014, Rob received his Juris Doctorate from the Georgia State College of Law.
Since joining Dunlap Gardiner LLP, Rob has engaged in multiple practice areas including drafting wills, healthcare directives, powers of attorney, engaging in collections matters on behalf of homeowners’ associations and auto loan finance companies, and defending homeowners’ associations and associated businesses in lawsuits filed against them and/or their employees or Board members. He has appeared in court to represent homeowners’ associations and auto loan finance companies in counties across Metro Atlanta. He has also successfully defended multiple suits against community associations and a property management company.
Also in representing homeowners associations, Rob counsels Boards of Directors about issues in the community by carefully analyzing the applicable Covenants and Bylaws, which can include amending these documents or tailoring rules and regulations effectively addressing the needs and concerns of a specific community. Whatever changes are necessary, Rob will be sure to help the Board implement an action plan that outlines the appropriate procedure to get the amendment or rule in place as quickly as possible.
Rob also enjoys the practice area of environmental law, including state and federal regulatory compliance and toxic tort claims. He provides counsel on compliance with various state and federal statutes and regulations as well as counsel if an individual or corporation finds itself under investigation by the EPD or EPA and what they can and should do to eliminate or mitigate penalties.
Rob currently lives in Peachtree Corners, GA and is an avid outdoorsman and sportsman. He spends his time on many outdoor activities but particularly enjoys climbing, bowhunting, flyfishing, and wing shooting. He is also an Atlanta sports enthusiast and can be found somewhere listening to or watching the Falcons play just about every week. Among his myriad other interests are golfing, playing guitar or banjo, cooking, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
